Hollywood Beach Guide

Hollywood has been experiencing a renaissance in recent years. To illustrate, take a look at the new and improved cityscapes downtown and by the beach. Downtown offers 100's of lively dining, shopping, and gallery choices. THollywood beachhe beach offers a brick paved boardwalk with bike path lined with majestic Sabal Palms and fantastic art deco lighting by the sumptuous turquoise seas. Stop in at a shop for an ice cream or beach attire or linger at one of the many restaurants lining the broadwalk. Hollywood beach offers many contrasts: from the Art Deco style of past to the new Mediterranean style of the Positano condominiums on the North to the Diplomat Resort and Spa at the South end of the beach. Hollywood has something for everyone.
Please see the Community Redevelopment Agency page to see all the new development going on in Hollywood. Lately Hollywood has been doing some very beautiful advertising on the Television and Radio to spread the word about how much vacation-like fun can be had in our own backyard.

Hollywood beach features miles of fantastic shoreline that can provide hours of relaxation or entertainment depending only on you. Bring a book and relax to the sound of the waves lapping against the shore.
Dip into the saline sea, and get energized. Play with family and friends in the sand. Frisbee, Volleyball, paddle-ball, skim-board, surf, build a castle, play cards or dominoes, Bar-b-que on the North Beach grills. This is what Hollywood fun in the sun is all about. This is why we live here. Walk for miles on the pavered broadwalk. Rent a bike or blades and cruise along the bicycle path. Breathe in the fresh ocean air and renew your spirit. As year-round residents of Hollywood and South Florida, sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have such a wonderful natural resource in our backyard. Our friendly neighbors from Montreal know what Hollywood fun and relaxation is. You can feel their Joie de Vie as they return every winter! That hearty carefree enjoyment of life can be seen in the many bars, hotels and restaurants along the boardwalk. Along our beautiful stretch of the shore, people from every age, race, and nationality relaxing, socializing and playing. This is not a pretentious place, far from it. This is our community at it's best, a melting pot of old time Floridians, Latinos, French, African, Indian, and more.
